E-learning Course on New Market Research

We developed a content-rich, interactive elearning course, Biophilic Design: Improving Health and Well-Being in the Built Environment, for the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).

Biophilia is the concept that humans have an innate desire to connect with nature and natural systems. Biophilic design is an innovative initiative that builds on this human-nature connection to give designers and architects a new framework to create spaces where people are healthier, more satisfied, and more productive.

We translated the research-based insights of leading sustainability and strategic planning consulting firm Terrapin Bright Green. The course reviews the science behind biophilic design and introduces biophilic design patterns, identified in their report14 Patterns of Biophilic Design: Improving Health and Well-Being in the Built Environment.”  Learners explore case studies on applying biophilic design to residential and commercial projects.

Architects and interior designers can earn continuing education unit (CEU) credit for completing the course at ASID Academy.
